Nicholas Hoult bekræftet til at spille Gilderoy Lockhart i Harry Potter TV -serien
Mens vi spændt venter på premieren på den nye Harry Potter-serie, som udkommer på HBO Max den 25. december, fortsætter castet til sæson 2 med at tage form. Den seneste bekræftede tilføjelse er Nicholas Hoult, måske bedst kendt i dag som Lex Luthor i de nye Superman-film (og Peacemaker: Sæson 2).
Variety rapporterer nu, at han skal spille rollen som Gilderoy Lockhart, den flamboyante lærer i Forsvar mod Mørkets Kræfter, som har været på helt utrolige eventyr og udført de mest utrolige bedrifter. Han debuterede i den anden bog, Harry Potter og Hemmelighedernes Kammer, som sæson 2 vil baseres på.
I filmen fra 2002 med samme navn blev Lockhart spillet af Kenneth Branagh, som i de senere år primært har portrætteret den belgiske detektiv Hercule Poirot i en række film.

Open-world behemoth Crimson Desert has been one of the year's big successes, earning developer Pearl Abyss an estimated $200 million in just two weeks and itself a Very Positive Steam rating based on more than 100,000 reviews at the time of writing. Considerable criticism has been levied against its apparently barebones story and since-removed AI-generated assets, but all in all, it's hard to look at Crimson Desert as anything other than a huge win for Pearl Abyss, and that success has seemingly trickled down considerably to the studio's employees.
According to Pearl Abyss's new Q2 2026 financial report, the company's labor expenses shot up 94% quarter on quarter following the release of Crimson Desert due to "performance bonus payments" paid out to 1,035 employees, which was the "total headcount" at the end of the company's second quarter. "While short-term personnel brought in during the first quarter for the launch of Crimson Desert declined, total headcount increased by 1.1% QoQ due to an influx of interns as well as additional hiring in service and marketing functions," the report clarifies.
Another way you can tell Pearl Abyss is super happy about Crimson Desert is that it's already talking about more Crimson Desert. "Crimson Desert is not a one-off title," the company said in the same financial report cited above, opening the door to "sequel titles," multiplayer expansions, and even more DLC beyond the add-on already planned for release this year.
