I have broken GTA 5 by installing so many mods that the game only launches in windowed mode now

Grand Theft Auto 5 can. Installing my latest mod, Dynamic Traffic Colours, has brought my installation of the game to the point that it's failing death rolls. It will only launch in windowed mode, now. Trying to fullscreen the game before it has loaded will leave you suspended in the void. Quite literally: you will reside in an eternal black screen from which escape is impossible, unless you hold CTRL+ALT+DEL.

Anyway, once I was in and windowed, I encountered a mystery. The point of Dynamic Traffic Colours is to mix up the hues of Los Santos' cars. I think it is doing that, but with a conservatism that borders on timidity.

For the most part, the cars I see (and, to be fair, many of them more-or-less implode on spawn) are the same humdrum colours you get all the time. But then, like a vision, you get a car that's a garish mix of tints, sailing past you and into the side of a building.

So I don't really know what's going on there. Perhaps it's a lesson to change my thinking. Rather than letting me gorge myself on clown cars, the mod presents them like rare, nourishing treats: oases in the windowed desert. I'm thankful for that.

Oppdater iPhone til iOS 27.0.1

Apple har sluppet iOS 27.0.1, en oppdateringen som blant annet retter en Face ID-feil som kan få iPhone 18 Pro og iPhone 18 Pro Max til å starte på nytt når ansiktsgjenkjenningen mislykkes. Samtidig kommer feilrettinger for kameraet og berøringsskjermen.

Vi skrev om Face ID-problemene og den kommende oppdateringen i forrige uke – brukere meldte blant annet om problemer med å låse opp beskyttede apper, frosne telefoner og beskjeden om at Face ID ikke var tilgjengelig.

Nå bekrefter Apples oppdateringsnotater at uventet omstart ved mislykket Face ID-autentisering er blant feilene som rettes.

På et «mindre antall» iPhone 18 Pro og Pro Max kan bilder tatt med 2 x zoom få en fargefeil under bestemte lysforhold når blenderen er satt til f/1,48. Også denne feilen er rettet, ifølge oppdateringsnotatene.

Kameraet og Face ID-systemet i iPhone 18 Pro er bygget om, men Apple har ikke oppgitt at maskinvaren er årsaken til programvarefeilene.

Den tredje rettingen gjelder en berøringsskjerm som kan slutte å svare dersom varslingssenteret og Kontrollsenter åpnes samtidig. ITavisen har også omtalt en annen feil som kan låse deler av iPhone-grensesnittet. Apple har ikke sagt at iOS 27.0.1 retter den separate widgetfeilen.

Apple har samtidig sluppet iPadOS 27.0.1, visionOS 27.0.1 og macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1. For Mac oppgir selskapet bare at oppdateringen retter feil, uten å spesifisere hvilke. Vi får trolig vite dette snart.

Michael Olise’s magnificent late strike gave France a 1-0 Nations League victory over Belgium in Brussels, as Zinedine Zidane made it two wins out of two since being named as the new head coach.
